…and we’re on our way to creating that world. Sexual Assault Voices of Edmonton (SAVE) is a non-profit organization comprised of community members, agencies and organizations who dream of a world without sexual assault. Together, we are creating this world through campaigns that place responsibility on perpetrators of sexual assault, raise awareness, challenge myths, and fight victim-blaming. We stand in solidarity with survivor-victims.

March 2024 – SAVE and the YEG Police Violence Archive were one of the groups that participated in the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights’ documentary project Safer for All, which is now available to view in full on youtube! The documentary explores some of the problems in police accountability and includes interviews with survivors of police violence and the families of people killed by police.

May 25, 2023 – Our Invest in Survivors, Divest from Police zine is now available! You can read or download it here, or email us if you are interested in paper copies.

August 9, 2022 – Thanks to the efforts of our community service learning students, all of the Edmonton & area incidents of police misconduct recorded in the Alberta Police Misconduct Database have been imported into the YEG Police Violence Archive. We’re very grateful for all their hard work, which has added a huge number of incidents to the site.
